A Joyful Microwedding at Long Hill in Beverly, MA | Spring English Cottage Inspired Wedding Florals by Pepper & Fern Floral Designs
Cassie and Brent's wedding was truly magical! It felt like a modern English Cottage-inspired celebration with some Bridgerton vibes (the wisteria, the enchanting gardens, the string quartet!) For this sweet couple, their micro-wedding at Long Hill in Beverly, Massachusetts, was intimate, meaningful, and bursting with beauty. Surrounded by gardens in bloom and their closest family and friends, they show that a microwedding can bring the maximum joy and be truly unforgettable.
At Pepper and Fern, we believe your wedding flowers should enhance your celebration. Flowers help set the tone. Cassie and Brent chose joyful colors that provided an elegant, festive atmosphere. Long Hill's enchanting gardens and romantic cottage charm, gave us the perfect backdrop for a deeply personal celebration.

Celebrating Love with a Microwedding at Long Hill
This wedding was intentionally small - just immediate family and a few close friends. They chose long tables, which allowed everyone to connect and be a part of the celebration together. They chose beautiful linens, place settings, and carefully surated florals, as well as a stunning greenery installation of similax on the reception tent ceiling, which added a wow factor - feeling like the garden continued into the tented area. The photos capture the magic of having a microwedding - the couple and their closest loved ones filled with joy, laughter, and connection.
Microweddings allow couples to slow down and savor each moment. With fewer guests, there's more space to connect and celebrate with all of your guests. We love how Cassie and Brent chose a small celebration, but went all out for their guests. From the stunning location, to beautiful florals, delicious foods, and celebratory drinks, to the string quartet. Every detail was thoughtful and meant to enhance the celebration with their guests.
This day reminded us why we love intimate weddings: the emotion is palpable, every detail feels so intentional, and the entire experience is filled with warmth.

Spring Wedding Florals Inspired by Long Hill's Gardens
The bride envisioned flowers inspired by those found by an English Cottage, like they are growing right out of the garden and seamless with the gardens of the estate. Natural, soft, and airy with romantic charm. Drawing inspiration from the venue's English gardens aesthetic, we leaned into a pastel spring palette with some more cheerful hues - a mix of light blues, lavender, blush, brighter pinks, yellows, and creamy whites, with lots of greenery, including the smalax ceiling installation.
We incorporated:
- Locally grown tulips from Buzzing Backyard, a local boutique flower farm
- Lavender and light blue delphinium
- Garden roses, ranunculus, stock, and sweet peas
- Loose, meadow-inspired greenery and dainty blooms
- Smilax greenery
Each arrangement was designed to evoke an organic and elegant feel, allowing the flowers to mirror the wild, blooming beauty of the gardens surrounding them.
The bridal bouquet was lush and filled with garden-inspired florals in a colorful palette, bringing instant joy when you see it, but not as joyful as the beautiful bride carrying it! The bouquet was the only floral element of the ceremony, creating an intimate atmosphere. The couple was intentional in letting the garden's beauty speak, and being inspired by it, and having us execute their vision of bringing beautiful florals and greenery to the tented reception space to see the beauty continue from the outdoors in!

An Unforgettable Wedding Day at Long Hill
From the moment guests arrived, there was a sense of joy. Instant connection, smiles, and joy throughout the day! Cailey Snowdon Events created a seamless day that perfectly honored the couple's vision: a relaxed, elegant, and joyful celebration.
The ceremony took place outdoors, with the Fenway String Quartet welcoming guests and playing as Cassie and Brent exchanged vows on the beautiful grounds of Long Hill.
Later, guests enjoyed dinner catered by Ferreira Foods under the tented patio, followed by dancing to the beats of DJ Gimme Snax. The couple and their guests shared laughs, conversation, and made memories to last a lifetime. Shukhrat Kamalov Photography captured every fleeting moment. We love how they captured all the details they won't want to forget and the emotions present throughout the day - one of our favorite candid moments may be when Cassie's sister cheered during the ceremony! A special moment captured beautifully!
